Chewbacca aka Chewie is a 4 pound rescue dog with a unique underbite.

​

He was found wandering the streets by police officers and taken to the Humane Society as a stray. Shortly after, Chiquita Chihuahua Rescue took him in for some much needed love and care (including vaccinations and needing 17 teeth pulled) to prepare him for adoption.

​

After spending two months at CCR, Chewie found his forever home and was officially adopted in 2015 at the age of 6.

​

Chewie loves sharing his 6-toothed underbite and big personality for all to enjoy; we hope his adoption story helps spread awareness about the importance and impact of adopting rescue animals of all shapes, sizes and ages.
